The winter 2006 edition of Nature's Best Photography magazine published their Best of the Best.  They choose 10 images from the last 10 years of their annual photo contests.  One of my images, Ohga Lotus, was chosen for 2002 and appears on page 56.  The same image was also published in Nature's Best 2006 calendar for the month of April.  You can see my Ohga Lotus imatge below.

Today I was advised that one of my images won 1st prize in the Mountain Flora category of the North America Nature Photographers Association (NANPA) Fine Art Print Contest.  There were over 400 entries of which 100 images will be displayed at the American Mountaineering Center, 710 10th Street Suite 100, Golden Colorado, February 7 - 18 , 2006.  In addition to the 1st prize winning photograph, another of my images will also be on display at the exhibit.  You can see the winning image and the other image which will be displayed below. 

I finally completed one of my new year's resolutions just in the nick of time.  I launched a new website this week.  Originally I had planned to learn Dreamweaver which was the software my web designer used to write my original website.  However, dreamweaver turned out to be too difficult for my limited mental capatcity to handle.  In the end, I bought Front Page and had some individual tutorials from a colleague at my local gallery.  Front Page was much easier to use.  Since I designed all of the web pages on my own, it will be much easier to update on a timely basis.  If you haven't seen my new web site yet, you can click the url below which is the same as my old website.
